Reliable Paddleboard Retailers
Hi everybody. This page is an addendum to my Episode #3 podcast: Your First Paddleboard. I wanted to create a list of reliable online paddleboard retailers. However, even better than buying a paddleboard online is buying a paddleboard at your local surf, paddle, or outdoor gear shop. Try to find a small shop which will probably give you the best advice and service. To find one, I suggest doing a search for (your location) + paddleboard.
However, if you don’t have a retailer near you, here is a list of reliable shops where you can buy a board. Please note, this page will update as I catch wind of other reliable sellers. As well, some brands may be popular, but I tend to recommend only boards that I or people I know have experience with.
Good online retailers
Green Water Sports (https://greenwatersports.com). This company sells high quality inflatable boards. Any board you purchase here will be high quality and backed up by a reliable retailer. (I bought my SIC Okeanos Air 12’6″ from here.)
Paddleboard Specialists (https://www.paddleboardspecialists.com). I bought my first paddleboard from them over a decade ago. They have a good selection of hard and inflatable boards. Hard boards can be shipped across country. Contact them by phone and they can help you find a board right for you.
Good paddleboard brands for beginners with an online store.
Boardwalks Surf (https://boardworkssurf.com). A strong, reliable brand of paddleboard from a reseller that’s been in the market for a while.
Tahe Sport (https://tahesport.com/global_tahe/). Tahe used to be Bic — yes that Bic, the maker of pens and lighters. They recently bought SIC Maui, and then were purchased by Tahe. These are excellent beginner hard boards and inflatables. The sister company SIC Maui (https://sicmaui.com) makes higher-end boards, but also repackages the Tahe boards as its own.
Red Paddleboard (https://red.equipment) Top end inflatable paddleboards.
Hala Paddleboards (https://halagear.com) Also excellent inflatable paddleboards.
Starboard SUP (https://sup.star-board.com/paddle-board/inflatable-paddle-board/best-entry-level-inflatable-paddle-boards/) has a great range of beginner SUPs. They don’t sell them on their website, but these boards are available widely.
